Chanukah Party

December 2006
Lighting Chanukah candles

Would you drive for hours each way to go to a Chanukah party? "Of course!" said everyone who met in Lochgilphead for SCoJeC's Chanukah party, travelling from as far afield as Dunoon, Fort William, Dumbarton, Glasgow as well as from just around the corner in Ardrishaig, Crinan and Kilmartin.

It was a great opportunity to make new and renew old friendships, to chat, to laugh - and of course to enjoy traditional Chanukah foods such as latkes and doughnuts before lighting candles and joining in a rousing chorus of Maoz Tzur.
